Alma: The Soul – Anti-Drug Awareness Seminar by St. George College, Aruvithura
The Anti-Drug Awareness Seminar, titled “Alma: The Soul,” was organized by St. George College, Aruvithura, to educate and inspire students about the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of mental well-being. The seminar was graced by the presence of Mrs. Remya Elizabeth Kurian, an expert psychologist and founder of Healthy Minds Palai, who brought her wealth of experience to engage with the vibrant and enthusiastic students of the B.Com department.
Role of Healthy Minds
Under the guidance of Mrs. Kurian, the seminar focused on raising awareness about the impact of drugs on mental and physical health. Through her expertise, Mrs. Kurian emphasized practical strategies for self-care, coping mechanisms, and building resilience. Her work through Healthy Minds Palai, a center for child, adolescent, and family guidance, played a pivotal role in shaping the seminar’s impactful approach, highlighting her commitment to promoting a drug-free society.
